Our Curriculum
The development of children throughout their earliest years takes place through relationships, particularly within families who are the child’s first and most influential educators.
Educators view culture and the context of family as central to a child’s sense of being, belonging and becoming. All program planning is based on a child’s culture, their current interests, knowledge, and strengths to ensure their motivation and engagement in learning.
We take a holistic approach appreciating each child’s physical, personal, social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing as well as their cognitive aspects of learning.
We engage in sustained shared conversations with children to extend their thinking. We always try to provide a balance between child led, child initiated, and educator supported learning.
Our learning environment both indoors and out support all aspects of children’s learning and invite conversations between children, early childhood educators, families, and the broader community.
Our Learning Environment includes…
- Language and literacy-library program
- Construction/ manipulative play
- Puzzles and cognitive games
- Drawing and writing materials
- Physical development play
- Art and craft available all day every day
- Imaginative/ dramatic play
- Sensory play
